Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Escape Zone kits, before and after buying.
About the Kits
What exactly is an Escape Zone kit?
It's a printable escape room game you can host at home. Each kit is a PDF containing character cards, clue sheets, puzzles, and a host guide. You print it, gather your group, and play: no booking, no travel, no venue needed.
Is this a physical product that gets shipped to me?
No. This is a digital download: a PDF file. No physical product is shipped. After purchase, you receive a download link by email within a few minutes and print it yourself.
How many people can play?
Most kits are designed for 1 to 5 players per team. For larger groups (10, 15, 20+ people), simply print one kit per 4–5 players and split into competing teams. It makes the game even more fun and competitive.
Can I play the same kit more than once?
Yes, but with different groups. Once your team has solved it, the mystery is out. However, you can absolutely host the same kit again with a completely new group, just print fresh copies. Many customers host the same game for different friend circles or family gatherings.
How long does a game take?
Most games take 45 to 60 minutes to play. Setup takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Budget roughly 2 hours for the full experience including reading the briefing, playing, and the big reveal at the end.
Downloading and Printing
How do I get my files after purchasing?
After completing your order, you will receive an email with a download link within 5 minutes. You can also find your downloads anytime by logging into your account at My Account and going to the Downloads section.
I didn't receive my download email. What should I do?
Check your spam/junk folder first: it sometimes lands there. If it's not there either, log in to My Account to access your download directly. Still not working? Contact us and we'll sort it out immediately.
Do I need a colour printer or can I print in black and white?
Colour printing is recommended for the best experience: the art and clue cards look great in colour. That said, all kits are fully playable in black and white too. If you don't have a colour printer at home, any local print shop (like a Xerox shop) can print it for you in minutes at minimal cost.
What paper size should I use?
Standard A4 paper works perfectly. No special paper or equipment needed, just a regular home or shop printer.
