Your great-grandfather uncovered a pharaoh's tomb and left behind a dark secret. Here's how to get from download to ancient mystery in under 20 minutes.

As host, you're the Game Master for this one, you'll set everything up, then guide the group through each clue while they play. There's a simple one-page answer sheet so you're never stuck either. Here's what we'll cover:

1Print Your Kit

Open the PDF from your download email and print it on standard A4 paper. No high-gloss paper or professional printing needed, the gritty tomb-worn style looks great either way.

The kit is designed for a team of up to 5 players. Got a bigger group? Print extra copies and race each other to the tomb's secret:

Want to customize the game? Your download includes a Designer's Kit folder with an editable version, so you can tweak names or details if you like. Totally optional, most people skip straight to printing.

2Set Up The Puzzle Sheets

Each puzzle sheet leads deeper into the tomb, uncovering ancient clues that eventually reveal what's really buried inside. Setup takes about 5 minutes:

  1. Place all the puzzle sheets in the middle of a table, or spread them around the room for a more immersive hunt.
  2. Players can work through them in order, it flows best that way for this one.
  3. Keep scissors, blank paper, and pens nearby.
  4. Start solving!

Want it more atmospheric? Dim the lights, light a candle or two, and play some ambient adventure music in the background. This one's a favourite for kids, so a bit of spooky-but-fun theatre goes a long way.

3When Your Guests Arrive

Welcome everyone and set the scene before you start the clock:

What's going on: Explain that a great-grandfather's dig uncovered an ancient tomb, and left behind a secret nobody's dared to uncover, until now.

How to solve: Each puzzle sheet unlocks the next clue. Work through them one at a time to piece the full mystery together.

Playing in teams: Split into small teams and race to be first to the final reveal. Check your answer sheet if anyone gets stuck.
